Spaces Concept & Boundaries

Spaces are the foundational structural unit in WorkFuz. A Space acts as an isolated organizational perimeter designed to segregate distinct teams, departments, or client accounts.

Without spaces, all projects, clients, and internal tasks would exist in one flat list, creating security risks and clutter.

Spaces provide:

  • Strict Client Confidentiality: Clients invited to “Client Space A” can never see projects, tasks, or discussions in “Client Space B”.
  • Departmental Independence: Isolate Engineering sprints from Marketing campaigns and Executive operations.
  • Dedicated Space Managers: Delegate full managerial rights over a specific Space without granting WordPress administrator capabilities.

Each space can be configured with one of two visibility levels:

Scope Visibility Ideal Use Case
Public to Organization Any logged-in WordPress user with member permissions can view and join projects. Internal company company initiatives, design systems, general knowledge bases.
Restricted to Members Only explicitly assigned users, managers, and administrators can access the space and its projects. Client contracts, executive roadmaps, confidential M&A deliverables.
